Abamectin 1% injection

Pharmacological effects

Avermectin is an anti-nematode drug, and it is effective against Haemonchus nematodes, Osteria nematodes, Cooperia nematodes, Trichostrongylus elegans (including Trichostrongylus ehrlii), Roundworms, Yangostomia nematodes, and Thyroid nematodes in sheep. The elimination rate of cervical nematodes, Trichocephalus nematodes, esophagostomal nematodes, Dictyostomia nematodes, and adults and fourth-stage larvae of Sheep nematodes is 97% to 100%. It is also very effective against arthropods such as maggots and lice. Less effective against chewing lice and sheep flies. The removal rate of adult and immature worms in pigs such as roundworms, Strongyloides rubroides, Strongyloides lamblia, Trichocephala elegans, Esophageal stoma nematodes, Metastrongyloides spp., and Coryodontia denticolae adults and immature worms is 94% to 100%. It is also extremely effective against intracanal Trichinella spiralis (intramuscular Trichinella spiralis is ineffective) and has good control effects on blood lice and pig scabies mites. Not effective against flukes and tapeworms. In addition, avermectin, as an insecticide, has broad-spectrum activity against aquatic and agricultural insects, mites, and fire ants.
