10% Albendazole Suspension

Composition

Each 1ml of Albendazole 10% contains 100 mg albendazole .

Indications

As a kind of benzimidazole, Albendazole 10 % has broadspectrum action against parasites. It is effective againstnematodes, cestodes and flukes . Albendazole 10% not only is good effective both against adult and un-matured parasite and larva , but also has the effect of killing parasite eggs. Albendazole 10% can be used to expel parascaris equorum , adult and forth period larva of ozyuris equi , strongylus equines, S . edentatus, S . vulgaris and D arnfieldi in horse, and adult and forth period larva of Ostertagia Ransom ,  haemonchus Trichostrongylus , Nematodirus , Bunostonum phleboto - mu -moesophagostome and dictyocaulus spp , adult fasciola hepatica Linn an moniezia taeniasis in cattle. And Albendazole 10 % can also be used in control parasite in sheep, and pigs and in teeatment of infections of capillaria of cats and dogs, cat's lung aragonimaisis and dog's filariasis. It is also useful in flagellateand cestode in paltry .

Dosage Administration

For oral administration with single dose ( per 1kg live body weight ) of 5-10 mg for horses, 10-15 mg for cattle, sheep, and goats, 5-10 mg for pig , 25-50 mg for  dogs and 10-20 mg for poultry .  

Adverse Reactions

There is no obvious adverse effect for cattle at recommended dose. Anorexia is found in dog with 50 mg / kg dose twice a day. Slight drowsiness, depression, anorexia occurred in cat .

Precautions

1) Albendazole 10% should not be used in lactating cow and cow 45 days before gestation . 2 ) When Albendazole 10% is used in sheep and rabbit with early gestation may cause teratogenic effect and embryo toxicity .  

Withdrawal Period

Meat : 14 days for cattle , 4 days for sheep and goats, 7 days for pigs , 4 days for poultry milk : 60 hour .

Storage

Store in a dry , dark place between 15℃ and 25℃.
